Mullu Murukku is a traditional south Indian snack which will be prepared during festivals like Krishna Janmashtami, Diwali etc. During Diwali season, family members sit along with grandmother and prepare mullu murukku a few days before Diwali. It will be shared to neighbors  and relatives along with other sweets and snacks.

This crispy and aromatic snack is liked by many people to have it during evening tea time and during the journeys. With ingredients, Mullu Murukku recipe is prepared with rice flour, Urad dal, salt, butter and coconut milk. This snack is very popular in the southern states of India. Unlike other traditional Kai murukku, this one has more spikes (like thorns - mullu in Tamil) which can be made with star moulds (murukku achu). Hence it is called mullu murukku.

Ingredients: Raw rice flour, moong dal, fried gram, bengal gram, Asafoetida, , jeera, rice bran oil, butter, salt 

Best before: 6 months from the date of packing.
