Oma Podi
Oma podi is a popular South Indian mixture and a great tea time snack. Also called sev in the north, it is a must-have during all special occasions and festivals. It has been an integral part of our snack list for generations and has been a jar snack in most of the traditional households.
This delicious swirl is made by mixing Gram flour with spices like carom seeds (Ajwain), Red chilies, Asafoetida, salt, and oil. The easy and readily available ingredients of this recipe make it a most desirable tea time snack and addictive too!
This crunchy and crispy noodle string snack is used as a topping in many chaat items and is savored worldwide. They are deep-fried in sesame or coconut oil and also seasoned with pepper for a spiced up taste.
Ingredients: Gram flour, rice bran oil, rice flour, salt, ajwain seeds.
Best before: 6 months from the date of packing.
Storage Instructions: Store in a cool and dry place in an air tight container.
